PREAMBLE
- Ski Jumping Canada (SJC) endorses the core values of True Sport, Canada’s national movement for fair and ethical sport. One of the cornerstones of True Sport is the importance of sport being free from the negative consequences of doping. SJC supports athletic achievement attained through fair, ethical and healthy means and is unequivocally against the use of banned substances and practices in sport.
- The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) is responsible for administration of the CANADIAN ANTI-DOPING PROGRAM (CADP). This program is fully compliant with the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Code and all relevant International Standards.
- The aim of this document is to describe SJC’s policy on doping in sport.
POLICY
- SJC expressly adopts Version 3.0 of the CADP (March 1, 2011) and will be governed by all provisions of CADP in all relevant matters. This adoption automatically includes any subsequent versions, additions or amendments to CADP.
Implementation Provisions:
- The primary responsibility of SJC is to ensure the coaches, administrators and event officials are familiar with the content of CADP, and that athletes who are subject to the provisions of CADP are informed of their obligations and encouraged to comply. The onus is on each athlete to understand the content and implications of CADP and to fulfill the athlete obligations within it.
- SJC is committed to applying and meeting obligations of the CADP as set forth in Code Articles 1.15 to 1.20, which include:
- In cooperation with CCES, deliver comprehensive and ethical anti-doping programs to Athletes, Athlete Support Personnel and other participants;
- Contribute to Doping Control by assisting with Testing and results management and will, in particular, assist in identifying Athletes subject to Testing and provide the CCES with accurate and reliable Athlete location information when requested;
- Actively cooperate and participate with the CCES in any investigation of possible anti-doping rule violations;
- Develop and implement , in conjunction with the CCES, anti-doping policies , programs and procedures for major Events that SJC may hold or sanction: and
