Athlete Code of Conduct
All athletes in programs at the National Training Centre are required to abide by the following code of conduct:
1. All athletes are expected to respect their teammates, other athletes, coaches, staff, volunteers, officials, spectators and parents.
2. All athletes must maintain their equipment within the standards set by the coaching staff. Athletes are forbidden from selling, lending, trading or otherwise claiming NTC equipment as their personal property.
3. All athletes must at all times respect the property of others, including but not limited to CODA’s property at Canada Olympic Park and the property of their teammates. Stealing or vandalizing property will not be tolerated. Athletes are also expected to abide by the rules and regulations set by CODA for Canada Olympic Park.
4. All athletes must assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the Ski Jump Centre and must participate in weekly cleaning and maintenance duties assigned by their coaches.
5. All athletes must represent the organizations of the National Training Centre in a positive professional manner when traveling to and participating at all training sessions, events and competitions and at all times while wearing team clothing provided to them.
6. All athletes must be committed to achieving their goals, as determined through consultation with their coach.
7. All athletes must be committed to drug free sport.
8. High performance athletes must maintain training logs that must be made available to their coach, as requested.
9. High performance athletes must be committed to the training and competition program as determined by their coach and agree to participate in all competitions, training, and physical testing sessions set out by their coach unless unusual conditions prevail (i.e.: injury, illness).
