Team North America – Nick Fairall needs your help
Nick Fairall, who suffered a serious spine injury when he fell in the qualification for the final event of the 4-Hills-Tournament in Bischofshofen, is still in the hospital in Schwarzach.
In order to help cover the high costs for the treatment and rehabilitation an online fundraising campaign with the motto “We’re with you Nick” was now started for the 25-year-old by former ski jumper Alan Alborn, Signe Jordet, director of USA Ski Jumping, and Whitney Childers.
“When one of us falls down, we band together to help lift them up. It’s what we do. We’re ski jumpers, skiers, athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers and supporters. We love this sport. We are strong and determined. We are ALL Nick Fairall.”
Now is the time for our ski jumping community nationwide and worldwide to band together and give whatever we can to help Nick as he begins an intensive recovery process that is expected to cost well over $50,000. This is above what insurance, etc. will cover. Our goal is to help raise at least half of that to ease the financial burden on Nick and his family so they can concentrate fully on his rehabilitation.
