SJC Welcomes Back Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes

SJC Welcomes Back Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes

May 3, 2015 Uncategorized

Ski Jumping Canada is pleased to announce that Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes is returning from a year long absence from the sport and will be rejoining the Canadian National Team, effective immediately. Boyd-Clowes, 23, is a veteran of the Sochi and Vancouver Olympics and has a top 10 World Cup finish to go along with his 25th place at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, as well as multiple COC podiums.

Said Boyd-Clowes, “I had to take a year off to rest and recharge. During that year. I realized that I miss the competitions, my teammates and the fans. I’m looking forward to getting back to training and then back onto the circuit in the winter”.

Team Canada head coach Gregor Linsig commented “Mac is a natural athlete – once he gets back in shape, it will be like he never left. I’m looking forward to having him back, he makes Team Canada that much stronger”.

Boyd-Clowes will be splitting his summer training camps between Europe and Calgary. Look for him to climb the world cup standings during the 2015/16 World Cup season!
