Eddie the Eagle Jumps Again in Calgary!

In 1988, Eddie the Eagle became a worldwide household name through his participation in Ski Jumping in the Calgary 1988 Olympics. He charmed the Calgary crowd with his “everyman” personality while fulfilling a dream that only a few get to realize – becoming an Olympian.
This Sunday, Eddie will once again throw caution to the wind and launch himself off the ski jumps at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary. At 11am on March 5th, the Altius Nordic Ski Club will introduce the next generation of ski jumping athletes to a global hero as Eddie straps on the jump skis to recreate the excitement of 1988 all over again.
Eddie will be jumping the small hills at the top of WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park. Viewing is open to the public and admission is free. The ski jumps are accessed from the top of Canada Olympic Park, parking is available. At 1:00 there will also be an opportunity for those between the ages of 8 and 12 to try ski jumping on the smaller ski jumping training hill. (Helmet and alpine skis required).
