Ski Jumping Canada Announces New Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the Women’s Team
Calgary Alberta, June 3rd, 2021 – Janko Zwitter is the new named Head Coach of the Women’s National Ski Jumping team. Located in Europe Zwitter will work with the new assistant coach Igor Cuzar starting with Summer Grand Prix competition schedule preparation to begin in mid June 2021.
“Head coach Zwitter will make an excellent addition to our organization at the now European base training and competitions,” says Ski Jumping Canada’s High Performance Director Nik Petrov. “Zanko’s impressive success in coaching ski jumping will certainly amplify our competitions and training”
During his successful coaching career, saw Janko’s athletes triumph including an Olympic podium, 71 World Cup Podiums and 9 World Championship podiums.
With little access to ski jumping hills in Canada, the Canadian team has moved their field training to Europe. Both Janko and Igor’s history of success, combined with their experience and technical knowledge will be a tremendous boost to our Canadian Women’s Ski Jumping Team as we look toward Beijing 2022.” Says Stretch.
SJC Ski Jumping Canada (SJC) is the national sport governing body for ski jumping in Canada and works to promote the sport of Ski Jumping in Canada.
