Ski Jumping Canada Board of Directors – 2025
Ski Jumping Canada (SJC), the national sport governing body for ski jumping in Canada, is seeking nominations for individuals to serve on its Board of Directors for a three-year term.
We are entering an exciting new chapter at Ski Jumping Canada, having recently completed a full governance review that included significant updates to our bylaws and policy framework. With this renewed foundation, we are looking for leaders who will help drive our mission forward, strengthen our operations, and champion ski jumping across the country.
About Ski Jumping Canada
There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in the leadership of Ski Jumping Canada. Since our historic bronze medal at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, our athletes have continued to make history, including a World Championship title in 2023 and multiple World Cup victories, podiums, and top ten finishes. These results have cemented our place on the international medal pathway as we look ahead to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
Ski Jumping Canada fosters a vibrant culture of ski jumping in Canada — one that promotes inclusivity and excellence, inspires Canadians to discover the joy of the sport, and contributes to a strong national sporting identity.

Board Structure and Operations
Ski Jumping Canada’s Board of Directors currently operates as a management board, with Directors contributing to both governance and certain operational duties. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about sport and capable of making a meaningful contribution in a hands-on leadership environment.
Desired Qualifications
The Nominations Committee has identified the following essential skills and experiences:

- Knowledge of sport in Canada
- Business and financial acumen
- Strategic policy development
- Stakeholder engagement
- Team-based leadership style
Specific Expertise Sought at This Time:
- Legal or regulatory knowledge
- Financial management and accounting
- Philanthropy, donor engagement, or fundraising
- Sponsorship and marketing strategy
General Attributes:
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A commitment to Ski Jumping Canada’s mission and values
- Ability to act with integrity, transparency, and accountability

Nomination Process
Interested individuals must submit the following materials by 5:00 PM Mountain Time on May 25, 2025:
- A letter of intent outlining your interest in joining the Board and what you hope to contribute
- A résumé highlighting relevant experience
- A short biography (maximum 300 words) that will be shared with SJC Membership
Interviews with candidates may be scheduled during the week of May 25, 2025. Recommended candidates will be shared with the membership prior to the Annual General Meeting.
