Sport Canada Athlete Assistance Program

The goal of the Sport Canada Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) is to contribute to improved Canadian performances at major international sporting competitions such as the Olympic/Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Pan Am Games, and World Championships.

The AAP identifies and supports athletes who are already among the top 16 in the world or have the potential to be among the top 16. Ski Jumping Canada (SJC) supports these aims when nominating athletes to Sport Canada for this funding stream.

For the 2026-27 year, SJC is targeting:

1) Athletes performing at a high level who have the potential to do well at the 2026 Olympic Games for senior funding, and;

2) Next-generation athletes with the potential to do well at the  Jr World Championships 2026 and the 2030 Olympic Winter Games and beyond, with development-level funding.

The AAP is part of the holistic support program that SJC provides to its athletes, intending to enable them to reach their highest potential throughout their athletic career and beyond.
