BLACK TUSK NORDIC EVENTS SOCIETY IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO WELCOME THE WORLD TO WHISTLER OLYMPIC PARK
SEA-TO-SKY CORRIDOR, BRITISH COLUMBIA October 28, 2022 – The Black Tusk Nordic Events Society and its Organizing Committee are currently working on the final preparations leading to the hosting of the FIS Nordic Junior/U23 World Ski Championships from January 27 to February 5, 2023 and are calling on the Sea-to-Sky Corridor Community and Nordic Community to volunteer their time to create a memorable experience for the 700 + participants taking part in this event.
As a volunteer, you will get to meet World Class athletes and coaches from over 35 countries in a fun atmosphere, and contribute to creating lifetime memories for these young athletes. Volunteering for this event is easy and flexible, whether it’s just for one day or an on-going position for the event.
The Organizing Committee needs volunteers in several areas, both in sport-specific technical tasks (such as in the Competition Committee, ensuring the event is set up and running according to the rules) as well as in general logistical tasks that require no previous experience (such as setting up fences and signage, helping out in the athlete food tent, controlling flow and access in the athlete preparation areas, assisting with the medal ceremonies or driving vehicles for different purposes, etc)
“Our volunteers are at the core of creating lasting impressions during our events at Whistler Olympic Park! This upcoming event will require many volunteer hours and we look forward to fostering an environment where all will feel welcomed and appreciated.”,said Norman Laube, Chairperson, Black Tusk Nordic Events Society.
