SEA-TO-SKY CORRIDOR, BRITISH COLUMBIA January 10, 2022 – We are less than 20 days away
from the FIS Nordic Junior/U23 World Ski Championships in Whistler Olympic Park!
Preparations for the World Championships are going well and there are now 38 countries, 530
athletes, and 300 support staff signed up. The very best nordic skiers from around the world will
be on our trails and ski jumps very soon and we can’t wait to host them!
“After 3 years of preparations leading up to this event, the Organizing Committee is thrilled to
welcome this large pool of talented skiers, who will be competing for the World Champion title.
These competitions are accessible to all in-person at Whistler Olympic Park or through our
professionally produced livestream. We expect this event to contribute a significant Economic
Impact to the Sea-to Sky Corridor!” said Reid Carter, Vice Chair, Black Tusk Nordic Events Society.
This is the first time the FIS Nordic Junior/U23 World Ski Championships have been held in
British Columbia and is a chance to see the next generation of nordic athletes compete on the
world stage. Black Tusk Nordic Events Society, the organizing committee, is currently working on
the final preparations leading up to the big event.
