David Victor Pym

January 15, 2025 News

April 1941-January 2025

It is with profound sadness that we learned of the recent passing of Dave Pym. He was a truly remarkable individual whose leadership and unwavering support for winter sports in Canada have left an indelible mark on our community. Dave’s support of ski jumping and his commitment to fostering participation and development in Nordic sports through the international Federation is truly inspiring.

Dave’s contributions through FIS were unparalleled, showcasing his vast knowledge and passion for winter sports. His efforts not only helped elevate the profile of ski jumping in Canada but also encouraged countless individuals to engage with and appreciate the challenge of Nordic sports.

The loss of such a passionate advocate is deeply heartbreaking for the entire Nordic sports community. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

With deepest sympathy,

Ski Jumping Canada
